Nearby Woodward Canal lies in a due East West direction and is approximately 5 miles in length. Its center berms overgrown with reeds separate traffic patterns and knock down any wakes created by boats going the opposite direction. The prevailing north breeze insures flat water and perfect ski conditions. The Old and Middle Rivers are wide and meandering, offering flat water when all other areas are blown out by high delta winds.
